PayPal Vent

I had a problem with my paypal debit card today so I though okay, no big deal, just contact them and problem solved....wrong! I decided to call and I must have spent 20 minutes talking to the automated things that asks you to say what you want "say options if you want xxxxx" OMG that is so annoying because the thing cannot hear me, I had to keep saying the same thing over and over again. until finally yes, it says it will send me over to the right department, yes!! But then I have to wait a million years BEFORE SOMONE ACTUALLY TALKS TO ME!! Are these people from another country? No I mean are they in their country as we speak taking these calls?? EVERY ONE I SPOKE TO HAD AN INDIAN ACCENT. Nothing against them but the accent is HARDCORE/HARD TO UNDERSTAND!! I kept saying "Im sorry what?" He could not help me and sent me to someone else. I finally calmed down a bit because I hung up and tried again, I was apologised to because of the weather in florida or something, I had to wait longer, not only that, there was so much static that when I did speak to someone who spoke english, I could not hear a thing. PAYPAL...ALL THAT MONEY?? AND THIS IS THE SERVICE YOU PROVIDE???? IM STILL ON HOLD BY THE WAY......

To my knowledge, they have their call centre in built in India and Malaysia, think it's very rare for a multicooperation to build a call centre in europe anymore

It's like calling Dell. No thank you. I can never ever understand those accents. You are right. They are so thick. I have been known to hang up and call back. That does help sometimes.

A lot of companies do this for call centers. I heard a rumor that they were thinking of directing drive thru speakers to other countries. So when you say,,," and a large sweet tea please" you might be talking to someone in another country! How bizarre would that be?

As far as Paypal goes,,, I think Paypal and Ebay (which are owned by the same company) are getting to big for their britches. I think they are going to be their own undoing by being greedy and having poor customer service....just my opinion.

I do not know if you have a NY accent, but even if you don't next time, just lay a really heavy brooklyn dialect on them and see how they like it! lol

I am from Ohio and my one daughter sounds like she is either from Brooklyn or Boston,, I cannot decide which.

I know what you mean! We have our internet through a company that outsources their calls. OMG when we have internet problems it is such a nightmare.
We had a problem with our pp debit card too though and still don't know what the problem was. It just stopped working. It was not expired and we could see that there was a balance in the account. All we could do is order another one and wait our 10-15 business days:/
