Many people are not familiar with lupus and what it is. Here are just some facts that will help you learn more about this disease and what the symptoms are. Lupus is a disease that causes the body to attack its own healthy cells and tissue. 9 out of 10 people who have lupus are women. It is a difficult disease to diagnose. Symptoms are: fatigue, hair loss, fever, swollen joints, skin rashes and kidney problems. African-American women are 3 times most likely to get the disease than white women and is common in Asians, Hispanic and native Americans.
